SEARC meets almost every 3rd Saturday either on zoom or with a hybrid zoom/in-person meeting. See the events page for more information.

Next Membership meeting July 18, 2026, at the Astoria Library. This will be hybrid in-person / zoom. The zoom link will be sent to the SEARC email group about a week before the meeting. If you are not on the email list send a request to w7bu@w7buhams.club.

Licensing Exams for all three levels of ham license are available on request. Contact Ellen at AA7EN@ARRL.net if you have any questions. The next scheduled test is October 24, 4:00 pm, in Seaside. Link to register will be active near the end of August.

The next SEARC/STARS sponsored Technician license exam preparation class will be October 10, 17, 24 2026, at the Clatsop Community College South Campus in Seaside, from 12:30 - 4:30 pm, with a testing session at 4:00 on the Saturday October 24. Come back here in August for more details. We recommend self-study before coming to the test review class, as we cannot possibly teach you all of the interesting material in 12 hours!

SEARC provides assistance in obtaining ham licenses at all levels, and the superstructure needed to practice for and support emergency communications.  Anyone with a ham license is welcome to use the SEARC repeater system.
